FOREIGN FAUNA

Hanne Lillee’s work intertwines the processes of sculpture making and photography, whereby the boundaries between subject and representation are blurred. Lillee’s exhibition Foreign Fauna at Fotogalleriet’s Nordic Anthology project space presents new works including photographic collages, relief and sculpture. Those, suggestive of bodily forms, appear fragmented and distorted within the photographic environments created. Biomorphic shapes are presented to the audience as organisms originating from – and found within – the idea of a foreign ecosystem: Foreign Fauna imagines the familiar from a non-acquainted perspective.
